From Diana, Queen of Hearts

From the Queen of Hearts

I’m a big fan of Twitter. Through it I have acquired design advice, job interviews and technical help. More importantly, it also allows me to follow the adventures of Princess Diana (aka the Queen of ‘Arrrrrts) as she enjoys her time in Heaven, amongst all the other celebrities. Just like when she was with us on earth, she is a constant source of inspiration. Her Twitter account is perfect if, like me, you have too much self respect to buy the Daily Express and read about her there. She also sent me this rather fetching badge. As it came through my door this morning i ran to the door, only to see a white Fiat Uno race away down my street. I shall wear it proudly, always.

Follow DianaInHeaven on Twitter. We miss you, Ma’am.

Carrot cake birthday

It was my birthday last week so Beth made me this birthday carrot cake. It’s a close 2nd to battenburg, but it had my name written on it so obviously wins. Delicious.

Oh the Humanity! in 25 words or more

September 21st, 2009 by Ian

This is one of the finest headlines I’ve ever seen crafted by the wordsmiths at the Mail. I think they’ve channeled a certain similarly perceptive master of language in writing this. Does anyone remember this classic line from Alan Partridge?  More of this please. I don’t want to read an article. If you can’t consolidate a complete ‘story’ in the headline, then don’t bother.

Via the ever brilliant @bengoldacre – an essential follow.

Is Barack Obama Muslin?

Finally, someone is asking the important questions about the upcoming U.S. elections. Also, they give sources: which puts this website way ahead of most of the major news networks. Huzzah!

Bloody Zombies

February 26th, 2008 by Ian

Bloody ZombiesMore of this sort of thing please. ‘Bloody Zombies’ is an ‘experimental’ game. One man, a lawnmower and a load of Zombies. Yeaaaah boiiiii. It’s the perfect way to loose 5 minutes. Indie games ftw etc. etc. The only thing is, as it’s such a small project for the developer, he’s not added sound. I suggest the Shaun of the Dead soundtrack, in particular the 80′s Matchbox B Line Disaster.

You can download this little game from the makers website, Kloonigames. Apparently the chap is doing a new game every week, so it’s probably worth keeping a look at his blog.
